The Blythewood Bobcats seek to offer more opportunities in Softball for girls in the Blythewood/ Northeast, SC area who are seeking additional instruction and competition. Our organization is lead by non parent Coaches with teams in 8u – 18u divisions!
SKILLS BUILDING
Softball is a complicated game with complicated rules and players need to become experts in many different technical skills to succeed. These skills range from hitting, throwing, and base running to the much more complicated stealing, double plays, and bunt defense. Bobcats advance and learn these skills from our expert coaching staff.
TOURNAMENT PLAY
Tournament play brings together all of the skill and team building exercises and allows the girls to compete and show off their skills in national and state sanctioned competition throughout the Carolinas, playing other teams from around the states. This competition further strengthens the skills and bonds these young ladies will carry with them throughout their life.
TEAM BUILDING
Softball is a team sport, and being that each player is so reliant on each other in their play execution, it is almost as important as the ability to execute the skills themselves. Team building exercises are used at practices to emphasis the importance of each player and their position and builds communication, competition, honesty, cooperation and protection of teammates. The age and skill level of our softball players are going to be the determining factors when considering the outcome goals from practice to practice and for the season with your team.
LIFE SKILLS
Sports helps an individual much more than in the physical aspects alone. It builds character, teaches and develops strategic thinking, analytical thinking, leadership skills, goal setting and risk taking, just to name a few.
